NEW YORK -- The AL East-leading Toronto Blue Jays reinstated outfielder Colby Rasmus from the disabled list after their latest loss and optioned outfielder Anthony Gose to Triple-A Buffalo. The Blue Jays lost to the New York Yankees 3-1 Tuesday night, their seventh defeat in 10 games. Rasmus was put on the 15-day DL on May 15 because of a sore right hamstring. Hes hitting .222 with nine home runs and 19 RBIs. Gose took strike three with a runner on third to end the game. He was hitting .233 with four RBIs, and had tailed off after a solid start. "We wouldnt be where we are right now without him," manager John Gibbons said. Said Gose: "Its just part of the business that were in." "It hasnt really sunk in yet. Im just going to have to accept the assignment and make the most of my time down there," he said.
