OAKLAND, Calif. - Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant sat out the second half of a 114-109 loss at the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night after spraining his right ankle.Durant said the sprain was mild and X-rays were negative. The reigning NBA MVP said he hopes to play at the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night but will see how he feels.I wanted to play. I wanted go back out there, but we wanted to be cautious, Durant said.Durant grabbed his ankle after stepping on Marreese Speights left foot while going hard to the basket late in the second quarter. Durant was called for a charge on the play.Durant lay on the ground in pain before walking to the bench with the help of teammates Russell Westbrook and Serge Ibaka. Durant limped to the locker room at halftime under his own power.I was a little nervous, but I knew that when I got up and started walking that it felt good, he said. I just wanted to make sure with the X-ray that everything was good.Durant came back Dec. 2 after missing the teams first 17 games with a broken right foot, and his latest injury ended his best performance yet this season.Durant scored 30 points on 10-for-13 shooting, including 5 of 6 from 3-point range. It was his highest-scoring game this season and the highest-scoring first half of his career.Oklahoma City started the season 3-12 with Durant and Westbrook dealing with injuries but had been rediscovering its championship-contender form with both healthy again. The Thunder had won seven straight entering the game, which was the longest active streak in the league after Memphis snapped Golden States 16-game winning streak Tuesday night. Oklahoma City is 7-2 since Durant came back and 8-2 since the return of Westbrook, who sat out 13 games with a broken bone in his right hand. Rodney Hood Jersey . Jamies number grades given are out of five, with five being the best mark. Jonathan Quick, Los Angeles Kings (3) - Early goal against was on the power play. Bill Walton Blazers Jersey . The Flames announced Monday that Treliving, a former assistant general manager with the Coyotes, will take over the vacant GM spot in Calgary. "Im ready for this,"Treliving said. https://www.blazerslockerroom.com/Jusuf-Nurkic-City-Edition-Jersey/ .Y. - The Philadelphia Eagles game at Green Bay against the Packers on Nov. Jaylen Hoard Jersey . Pretty good hitting, too. Dan Haren pitched six innings and sparked the go-ahead rally with a single, leading Los Angeles to another win over the skidding Atlanta Braves, 4-2 on Tuesday night. Nassir Little Jersey . PETERSBURG, Fla.A day after blowing a three-goal lead in a disappointing 6-5 shootout loss to the Pittsburgh Penguins, Toronto Maple Leafs coach Randy Carlyle was blunt about the stress that comes from a game like the one played Wednesday night. "I dont sleep well - I get stress headaches," he told reporters. "I get a lot of things that you guys probably never experienced. "Theres an adrenaline that comes with (coaching), but also pretty big lows & things like last night bring you to earth in a hurry." Of the problems coming out of Wednesday nights loss was the Leafs inability to generate offence in the third period, as Toronto didnt register a single shot in the third period and in overtime. Needless to say, 25 minutes of shot-less hockey didnt sit well with Carlyle. Asked if he ever had a shot-less period as a player or a coach, Carlyle was again a matter-of-fact about it. "Probably," he said. "Forgot about it in a hurry, though." Carlyle looked to the ";snowball effect with the penalties," that the Leafs took in a game that saw them outchance the Penguins 11-9 after two periods before their offensive collapse in the final frame.dddddddddddd Three of the Penguins five goals in regulation were scored on the power play, meaning a defensive effort was also wanting for the second game in a row. The Leafs took a 6-0 drubbing at the hands of the Columbus Blue Jackets at the Air Canada Centre on Monday night. "Obviously, weve given up 11 goals in two games and thats not going to cut it," said Carlyle. "Thats not going to work in the NHL." Still, Carlyle is convinced that his team can be better and knows that its his job as coach to ensure that it will. "Were salesmen, simple as that - coaches - and were selling a program that we believe in," he explained. "We can play to a higher level." The Leafs will next have the opportunity to find that level on Friday night when they visit the Buffalo Sabres. ' ' '
