PHILADELPHIA -- The music is blasting and the Philadelphia Phillies are having fun again. Stitched Oilers Jerseys . Theres plenty to celebrate these days. Chase Utley walked with the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth inning, lifting Philadelphia to a 4-3 comeback victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Friday night. It was the fifth win in six games for the Phillies, who have won four of those contests in their last at-bat, including the last three. "Anytime you have walk-off (wins), it creates excitement and right now its carrying over to the next day," Phillies interim manager Ryne Sandberg said. The music blared in the Philadelphia clubhouse following the game - something that hasnt been the case for most of this disappointing season. "Were playing together and having fun in here, being able to go out on the field believing in each other," Philadelphia left-hander Cole Hamels said. "Were taking that direction and have to keep pushing in that direction as long as we possibly can." Cody Asche led off the ninth with a single and went to third on Jimmy Rollins single. Heath Bell (4-2) intentionally walked Michael Young to load the bases for Kevin Frandsen. After striking out Frandsen, Bell was lifted for left-hander Eury De La Rosa. De La Rosa ran the count to 3-2 and Utley walked when the final pitch appeared to be a bit inside. "We were trying to work both sides of the plate," Diamondbacks catcher Tuffy Gosewisch said. "The last pitch started out, then came in and barely missed." Darin Ruf homered for the second straight game for Philadelphia, which improved to 5-3 under Sandberg. Ruf has eight homers and 12 RBIs in 21 games this month. Matt Davidson had two hits and an RBI for the Diamondbacks, who have dropped four of five, damaging their fleeting playoff hopes. They stayed seven games back of the Reds for the second NL wild-card spot. "They just got it done in the ninth," Arizona manager Kirk Gibson said. Jonathan Papelbon (4-1) pitched a scoreless ninth for the win. The Phillies jumped to a 1-0 lead on Rufs two-out homer in the second. The Diamondbacks answered with three runs in the fourth off hard-luck Hamels. Paul Goldschmidt was credited with a double after left fielder Domonic Brown lost his routine fly ball in the lights as twilight fell. Martin Prado drove in Goldschmidt and Adam Eaton with a two-run double, and Davidsons RBI single put Arizona ahead 3-1. "We got a big break on the ball lost in the lights, but we couldnt tack on," Gibson said. That was it for the Diamondbacks against Hamels, who allowed six hits and walked one in seven innings. The left-hander has a 1.89 ERA in his last five starts but just one win and four no-decisions over that stretch. Hamels, who entered with the fifth-lowest run support average among starters in the majors (3.30), remained 5-13 on the season. "Ultimately, you dont want it to come down to the last at-bat, but winning is winning," Hamels said. "Im glad were able to battle and stay with it. Its a good feeling to have something going the right way." The Phillies tied it when Carlos Ruiz hit a two-run double off Wade Miley in the sixth. That was the last inning for Miley, who yielded five hits and two walks. The Phillies threatened in the eighth against Bell, putting runners on first and second with two outs. But Bell struck out John Mayberry Jr. swinging to end the inning. The Diamondbacks got a runner to second with two outs in the ninth off Papelbon, but Cliff Pennington flew out to centre to end the threat. NOTES: Arizonas J.J. Putz dislocated his pinky finger in the seventh inning trying to field Rollins grounder to shortstop. Putz will be placed on the disabled list on Saturday. . Ruiz went 2 for 4, raising his average to .600 (12 for 20) in his last six games. . The three-game series resumes Saturday night when Phillies RHP Ethan Martin (2-2, 5.23 ERA) opposes RHP Randall Delgado (4-4, 3.82 ERA). ... The Phillies wore maroon and white pinstriped uniforms similar to what the club wore in the 1990s on 90s night. ... Frandsen snapped an 0-for-17 skid with a sixth-inning single. Fake Oilers Jerseys . "Opinion: Womens World Cup is the best Soccer of the year," Hanks tweeted to his 8.73 million followers on Friday. "Hey FIFA, they deserve real grass. Put in sod. Custom Edmonton Oilers Jerseys .com) - Colorado may be ahead of the Vancouver Canucks in the Western Conference standings, but they are a club that the Avalanche may want to avoid in the playoffs. https://www.cheapoilers.com/ . "Im going to send Webbie a six-pack (of beer) tonight," she said. Webb wasnt sure that would help. "Ill probably drink one and go to sleep," the Australian veteran said. The two players set up a Sunday showdown between former HSBC champions after finishing off their third rounds with identical birdies over three of the last five holes Saturday to separate themselves slightly from the rest of the crowded leaderboard.PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. -- Even without Tiger Woods around, Sergio Garcia couldnt avoid reminders of a week to forget at The Players Championship. The 17th hole is where Garcia last year lost the battle, along with the war of words. After two days of verbal sparring with Woods, the Spaniard put two balls in the water to make quadruple bogey, and he put another in the water on the 18th for good measure. Garcia already was 4 under on Thursday when he came to the par-3 17th with an island green. "It did cross my mind. Im not going to lie to you," Garcia said. "I was trying to be positive. Its a new year -- lets improve on it. I pulled it a little bit there, but it was an OK shot. I was able to do much better there, and much better on 18, so I was very happy to see that." Garcia was six shots better than the last time he played those holes. He wound up with a 5-under 67 and was four shots behind leader Martin Kaymer, a good start for a past champion who has shown he can manage his way around the Stadium Course. As for those other memories? Garcia has put those behind him. Much like his golf shots, hes looking forward. Woods won The Players last year in a tournament marked by a weekend of squabbling with Garcia -- such public feuds are rare in golf -- that ended badly a few weeks later in London when Garcia made a racially insensitive comment about Woods while trying to be funny. It started in the third round, when Garcia blamed Woods for pulling fairway metal from his bag on a par 5 to stir up the gallery just as Garcia was trying to play his shot. Video doesnt support that sequence of events, but it set off a weekend of bickering -- and Woods got the last word by winning. "I think its over. I think its passed," Garcia said. "I didnt think I was a villain, but I think that weve all moved ahead of that. I certainly have. Im just looking forward to now and hopefully whats coming soon." Garcia says he is in a happier place, and it shows. He conducted a clinic for kids on Wednesday, and he is at his best in the presence of children. He played beautifully on Thursday, losinng momentum with one bogey on his 14th hole, but no less satisfied with a 67. Oilers Jerseys China. Even so, he conceded his battle with Woods last year unsettled him. He was at an awards banquet in London when asked if he would invite Woods over to dinner during the U.S. Open. "We will serve fried chicken," Garcia replied. He apologized twice, though it didnt quell the criticism that followed him the rest of the summer. Garcia spoke of the ups and downs in his career, of trying to play good golf when he feels miserable. Garcia went into a deep funk when longtime girlfriend Morgan Leigh Norman left him. He said after a poor third round in the 2012 Masters that he did not have the game to win a major. "You go through ups and downs in your life, in your career," Garcia said. "And Ive had really, really good times; really, really happy times. And then Ive had times that were a little bit more down. I think it happens to all of us. Youve got to try to enjoy those good times as much as possible and learn from the tough ones and hopefully make them as short as possible. I think at the end of the day, thats all you can really do." He said the last four years have been "pretty good," but not always. "I dont know, probably (what) comes to mind maybe last year is when everything went on with the little problem with Tiger," he said. "I think that was tough." Lately, he is on an upward swing. Garcia won in Thailand late last year. He won in Qatar at the start of this year. He is No. 9 in the world. He is thinking positively. And it probably doesnt hurt that Woods is sidelined indefinitely while recovering from back surgery. And yes, at 34, he believes hes good enough to win a major. "I think that when Im on, I can definitely win anywhere," he said. "I think Ive proven that. Its just a matter of getting that week where you feel good, where you feel comfortable, where things go your way, where everything feels relaxed, everything feels at ease and you manage to do things the way you know how to do them. Im still waiting for that particular week." ' ' '
